Yesterday you received a Docusign email notifying you that my relationship with Commonwealth would be changing. Due to number of calls and questions, I wanted to give everyone some clarification and peace of mind.
In the financial services industry, you need to have a number of licenses to perform certain tasks. And with these licenses comes various types of compliance, which add to the complexity of our work. For many years I have had a license that allows me to sell investment products for a commission. In that we have been primarily a fee only company for many years now, I have decided to drop the license for commission sales, as I don’t need it and don’t use it.
Please forgive me if the letter caused you any concern. The letter had to be written a certain way according to the compliance rules. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me personally or to my staff.
